El Salvador faced Mexico at the finals match on Monday to compete for the 2019 OISL Tournament. The game kicked off at 2pm CT at Bryan High School Soccer field, with both teams looking to earn the OISL Tournament champion title.
In a matchup of South American sides, El Salvador defeated Mexico, 4-3 to win the 2019 Tournament. El Salvador’s forte throughout the tournament had been to frustrate the opponent, and that strategy appeared to work for most of the match. Both teams did well in maintaining possession and creating combination plays.
